After months of choosing paint colors, affixing chair rails, and painting/repainting, it is done! Zach and I transformed our small second bedroom into, well, I guess it’s like a school multi-purpose-room, except without the band concerts. I can now add chair rails to my list of random skills. Need mitered corners? I’m your gal. My favorite part was when a family member didn’t think I would do mitered corners because of laziness! I may be a bit lazy, but non-mitered corners I cannot tolerate. I think it goes back to ten or so years ago when my parents hired someone to make some window frames. He didn’t miter the corners and that stuck with me. I don’t know why. Weird things end up in my brain.
But anyway, without further ado, here is the room! The bed is inflatable, and when we don’t have guests, the table takes its place. Also, Zach got me the squirrels. I love them so much.

I’m doing it. I considered doing it awhile ago, but was too busy being on the couch to do it. But now? Doing it. I forced my former roommate Ashley to join me. I just realized I haven’t mentioned what I’m doing, unless the subject line counts. I’m doing the “Couch to 5k” workout. Theoretically, I’ll be able to run a 5k at the end of this.
So far, we’ve done two days. The first day was hard. Apparently it wasn’t hard for Ashley. She’s just special like that. For me…eh. I was able to do it, but I found myself glancing down to see how much time had passed. I was happy when I was done.
I did day two today and it was much easier. I only looked at the time once. That’s pretty impressive for me, because I’m a bit type A and like to know the time at all times. Even while sleeping.
In other news, the middle room is finally done! I don’t know if I ever mentioned it, but we have a second bedroom that’s sort of our misc. room. But now! Now it’s…still a misc. room, but classy. We painted, added a chair rail, and bought an inflatable bed and a computer cabinet. Now it can go from guest room to dining room to office. I’ll post about it later, but here’s a quick look:
